Kerry.. "You get stuck in Iraq".. let the shit storm begin

Here we go.. Let the Shit storm begin. This is the type of remark Republicans have been waiting for and from none other than '04 Democratic candidate John Kerry. Maybe if it was Howard Dean making these comments the media had not looked into it more.

As I'm sure you have seen here is the quote from Senator Kerry... "You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq".

Talk about opening Pandora's box and perfect timing for mid-term elections. He made a statement of "I apologize to no one" and "people of the US know what I was referring too". Well sir you stated something that offended every person in military duty.

And lets go to the Bush statement... "Our troops did not enlist because they did not study hard in school or do their homework. The men and women who serve in our all-volunteer Armed Forces are plenty smart and are serving because they are patriots — and Senator Kerry owes them an apology," Bush will say.

Wow I did not see freedom,9/11,terrorists or Iraq in that statement therefore you do not need to take a shot of jack.. oh but wait...
"Whatever party you belong to, whatever you think about the war in Iraq, we should all agree that our troops deserve our unwavering support." Thats right take a shot.. dont think Bush would let you get away with not having a drink.

I believe an apology is in order for the Troops from Senator Kerry but we may not see one. What I can tell you is this will be featured on Fox News for a week or until mid terms are over. Democrats can thank Senator Kerry for speaking before thinking.

80 Killed or Found Dead in Iraq

Unfortunately this headline has become common in every day news headlines. Today U.S. National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley met with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and his Iraqi counterpart to discuss military and political coordination.

"This is a long planned trip to get a first hand report of the situation on the ground from the political, economic and security fronts," said Gordon Johndroe, spokesman for the National Security Council in Washington.

I dont even have to go to Iraq to give you the first hand report... the militias have overthrown the iraqi "mall" police forces. Security fronts are hanging on by US and UN troops, if not they would also be over run. Hard to have economic prosperity with war in your town.

I just can not believe the mess of this post war effort. Its truly sad our young men and women are dying for the incompetence of our administration, particularly those in charge of post war efforts. And also the amount of innocent Iraqi civilians who have died because of this back and forth battle of militias... and terrorists that have made their way to Iraq to battle US forces.

Rummy.. JUST BACK OFF!!!

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said Thursday that anyone demanding deadlines for progress in Iraq should "just back off," because it is too difficult to predict when Iraqis will resume control of their country.

During an often-combative Pentagon news conference, Rumsfeld said that while benchmarks for security, political and economic progress are valuable, "it's difficult. We're looking out into the future. No one can predict the future with absolute certainty."

Hmmm... other than rising death counts(US and Iraqis) and the possibility of Civil War in Iraq I cant imagine anyone just "BACK OFF". As we have been told over and over again Iraqi Forces have met their training goals/benchmarks but the fact is they still can not handle Al-Sadr's militia men and outside terrorists.

The unfortunate thing about the US war in Iraq was the post war plan, well.... there was not one. We have seen utter chaos in a country that is now divided between each others groups. Cut and Run you ask?? No way... but there comes a time when Iraqis uh.. uh.. um... government and security forces need to step up and not rely on US and UN troops. I just can not see this war ending until there has been some resolution to Iraqis stepping up and thank US for their support and removal of insane hussein.

The Googler

Ol Georgie back at it again.. from the Internets to.. yeah I use the Google to see my ranch.. um yeah its pretty cool. What did you hear.. yep that was me taking down a couple shots of the worst tequila I have ever tasted hoping to wipe away the remarks of Mr. Bush

Watching his speeches I have found a new drinking game for you boys and girls.. everytime he says the following words you take a shot.... freedom,Iraq,terrorists,9/11... I guarantee you will be wasted by the time the speech is over.

Jim Webb's Steamy Stories

Here we go again... after the Mark Foley scandal sure enough the Replublicans need to find a fall guy and his name is Jim Webb. They have found sexual stories written by the senator but only one problem they are FICTIONAL!!!!

It is bad enough I spent last night listening to Bill O' Reily talk with others on the Micheal J. Fox campaign ad that we now have replublicans comparing Jim Webb's book to sending sexual messages to 14 year olds. I am sorry but this is just flat out crazy.

I find myself drinking more as mid terms approach. One thing I do love is the not so great actors in all these political ads. Where in the hell do they find these people.

Bush OK's bill for PARTIAL border fence

President Bush signed a bill Thursday authorizing the construction of a fence along one-third of the 2,100-mile U.S. border with Mexico, but missing from the legislation is a means to pay for it and the fact it covers 700 miles(again the border is 2100 MILES LONG).

Here we go again in wasted tax payer money for a 700 mile fence that will have illegals laughing at us. How can you decide on a fence that only covers 1/3 of the border. Either build a fence that covers the entire border or do nothing at all.

My take on this issue is to start by implementing tough laws on businesses that hire illegal immigrants. Second local law enforcement needs to take this seriously. I am interested on what other peoples views are on this subject but after hearing about this border bill I am going to need a fifth of jack to hopefully calm my nerves.
